Greenport, L.I. Announces Specially Priced On Line Family Ticket Package for  Tall Ships Festival Memorial Day Weekend - May 26-28;

Majestic Ships, Concerts and More for All Ages!

Greenport, LI, NY – May 16, 2012 – Village of Greenport, LI, host to the Tall Ships Challenge Atlantic Coast 2012 race series, has introduced an advance Specially Priced Family Ticket Package available on line only, a savings for families who wish to board the majestic Tall Ships during Memorial Day Weekend!  Seven ships will dock at Greenport’s waterfront for a three day family festival from May 26 through 28.
 
“We are offering this special package on line to encourage families to make their purchases early and avoid the anticipated long ticket lines at the festival,” said Greenport Village Mayor David Nyce. “The festival will be an entertaining and educational experience for all ages, and by making affordable pricing available prior to the festival weekend, we feel that many more families will have the opportunity to enjoy the ships and all of the activities that will take place here on Memorial Day Weekend.”
 
The Family Package may be purchased on line only at www.greenportvillage.com. Each ticket entitles a guest to a one-day admission. Visitors must purchase daily tickets for each day they wish to board the ships.  Pricing is as follows:
 
The Family Package: (Available at www.greenportvillage.com)
 $15 includes on board admission for 1 Adult Ticket & FREE admission for 3 children 
 $2.50 for each additional child.  FREE for children under 3.
Note: the Family Package prices are good through May 25.
 
Daily Ticket Price: (Purchase tickets at Greenport Village Hall
Adults $15 for on board admission.   $10 for Seniors /Veterans/Military
$5 for children ages 3-5yrs.   FREE for children under 3.

Tall Ships participating in the weekend event are Lynx, Picton Castle, Pride of Baltimore ll, Roseway, Summerwind, Unicorn and HMS Bounty, a replica of the original ship made famous in the film “Mutiny on the Bounty.”   The festival is open from 10am to 6pm.
 
Visitors are welcome to stay in the Greenport area the entire weekend and experience all the village has to offer: hotels and inns, shops and galleries, restaurants, antiquing and boating. (For a listing of Greenport accommodations and attractions, please visit
