Working Hand in Hand to Help Children Diagnosed with Pediatric Cancer

Friends of Karen, an organization that provides emotional, financial and advocacy support to families with a child diagnosed with cancer or another life-threatening illness, thank the Amanda Styles Cirelli Foundation, funders for pediatric cancer research and programs supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families, for their ongoing support.

“We are so grateful for the generosity they have shared with us,” said Nancy Mariano, Regional Director of Friends of Karen. “To know that Amanda left a legacy to care for children who are diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses is a truly immeasurable act of kindness. We are so grateful to have the support of her namesake organization.”

Friends of Karen, with offices in Port Jefferson, Manhattan and Westchester, New York, assisted 1,375 children with services in 2012 alone.
