Oakwood Automation Systems Takes On Sonos

Line of Wireless HiFi Sound Systems

Huntington Station, NY - Oakwood Automation Systems (OAS) has again expanded its menu of home automation products, this time taking on a line of wireless HiFi music systems manufactured by Sonos, Inc.

The new addition is part of Oakwood's strategic plan designed to place an elite, yet highly affordable selection of wireless automation products into the hands of homeowners in the New York area. Since its inception just two years ago, Oakwood has assembled a line card of automation systems that encompasses video surveillance, home entertainment, security, lighting and environmental control for indoor and outdoor use. Sonos is known worldwide with a long list of awards and acknowledgments including those from Engadget (Editors' Choice), The New York Times (Gadgetwise Blog) and MTV. Its product line includes wireless speakers, players, controller apps and accessories; all of which are designed to allow end users to stream and play their favorite music anywhere in the home and control the entire experience from their smart phone or tablet.

"There are so many things we like about this line, it's really difficult to find one aspect that stands taller than the rest," said Jim Macri, President, Oakwood Automation. "I can say that when we've field tested the Sonos products both inside and out, we were very impressed with the quality of the audio and with the simplicity of the interfaces. And certainly those two attributes are totally consistent with our overall marketing purpose."

Founded in 2002, Sonos® is the leading manufacturer of wireless music systems. The Sonos Wireless HiFi System lets end users stream all the music on earth wirelessly in every room of the home with control from an Android® smartphone, iPhone®, or iPad®. In addition to playing personal digital music collection, Sonos enables access to millions of songs and thousands of radio stations by partnering with AUPEO, Deezer, iheartradio, JUKE, Last.fm, MOG, Napster®, Pandora®, Rdio®, Rhapsody®, SiriusXM Internet Radio, Slacker Radio®, Spotify, Stitcher SmartRadio™, TuneIn, Wolfgang's Vault, and more. The award-winning Sonos Wireless HiFi System is available at more than ten thousand retailers in over 65 countries worldwide; or direct from Sonos at www.sonos.com.
