This Thursday, August 30th at 7:00pm she will be holding the first "Christine's Very Merry Un-Birthday". The theme of this is to support Lupus Awareness and all the event items have been donated; from the venue - The
Gallery Room at Bar Social in
Uniondale - to the music- Bobby Fayder from Party Perfect NYC and many gift bags, and raffles that range from local to national businesses. Wego Health and Alliance Health are co sponsors of this event. Generous donations from
Hofstra university, ELF cosmetics, Avon and
Restaurant.com have actually made the gift bag for each attendee worth more then the ticket!
Frank Mirando, one of the final four contestants from this season's Master Chef on Fox Five will be there as well to show his support for Lupus Awareness.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), or lupus, is a chronic, complex and serious autoimmune disease affecting more than 1.5 million Americans. In lupus, the immune system, which is designed to protect against infection, creates antibodies that attack the body's own tissues and organs -- the kidneys, brain, heart, lungs, blood, skin, and joints. Lupus is difficult to diagnose, difficult to treat, and a leading cause of premature cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and stroke among young women.
