Learn Something about Gems and Minerals

If you have an interest in gems and minerals, you will certainly want to show up to the Freeport Gem and Mineral Show. This Long Island event will be held on August 25 through August 26. It will go from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. On hand, you will be able to talk with many dealers from the area and beyond. You will be able to learn about the different kinds of gemstones and minerals as well as make some purchases when you find something you like.

Those looking for beads will be able to find one of the largest selections ever assembled. This will allow you to see all of the different colors and varieties from some of the best bead dealers in the country.

All of the jewelry designers are happy to discuss with you the kind of work that they do and the way that they get the results. They will also be available to discuss not only the pieces that they have with them, but any pieces that they have in their catalog. Discussions about custom pieces can also be made.

Those looking to attend the event will be able to find it at the Freeport Recreation Center on 130 East Merrick Road. Admission price is $5.50 for adults and a free admission is available for children under 12 when accompanied by a paying adult. Come down to see everything that the makers have to offer.
