- Krisch’s Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour in Massapequa has been serving homemade ice cream for over 90 years. It moved to its current location on Long Island in the 1950’s. It continues to maintain a retro look with old fashioned soda fountains, a counter with stools, booth seating and its variety of homemade ice cream flavors. Guest can also stop by to enjoy chocolates, candies, ice cream sodas and burgers. Stars such as Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger, Tom Cruise, Steve Guttenberg and Jerry Seinfeld are among its lists of visited guests. Its homemade ice cream flavors include Banana, Black Rasberry, Burgundy Cherry, Butter Pecan, Cake Batter, Coffee, Cookie Dough, Cookie-n-Cream, Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Creamy Coconut, Dark Chocolate Strawberry, Fluffernutter, Lemon, Maple Walnut, Mint Chip, Orange Sherbet, Peach, Peanut Buttercup, Pistachio Nut, Rainbow Cookie, Rocky Road, Rum Raisin, Strawberry, S’mores, Vanilla, Sugar Free Chocolate and Sugar Free Vanilla.
- In The Mood Coffee & Ice Cream in Woodbury started up in 2005. The small storefront may not catch your eye at first, but once you try out its homemade ice cream it’ll be sure to make a mark. Its homemade ice cream flavors include Brownie Batter, Butter Pecan, Caramel N' Tates Cookies, Cherry Vanilla, Chocolate, Coconut Almond Fudge, Coffee Break, Cookies N' Cream, Deep Dark Secrets, Espresso Chocolate Chunk (sugar free available), French Vanilla, Funky Pretzel Gold Mine, Grandma's Cake Batter, Howling Brownie, Mint Chocolate Chunk (sugar free available), Morry Chocolate Peanut Butter, Mountain Lion Crunch, Rocky Road, Strawberry, Cow Phooey. Hazelnut and T-Rex Crunch. Sorbet is also available in flavors such as Raspberry, Pomegranate, Wine Peach, Apple Cider, Wine Grape and Mango.
