Get Ready Now for Long Island Winterfest in January!

One of my favorite events of the winter here in Long Island is the annual Long Island Winterfest. The sights the sounds and the incredible opportunity to meet new people is an incredible time to start off a new year. So, as I heard the news that the East End Arts has announced that the Winterfest Kickoff Event is to take place on Friday, January 25, from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Hotel Indigo East End, I got quite excited.

This event starts the countdown to the highly anticipated 6th Annual Winterfest Jazz on the Vine concert series commencing February 9, 2013. The kickoff event will feature a Live at the Indigo jazz jam with the Steve Watson Trio, with surprise guest performances. Light fare and wine will be served. Tickets are available for $20 per person in advance, and $25 at the door the night of the event.

As I mentioned, this is an event I have been attending for several years and absolutely love everything that happens. I try to make all of the different venues as they go on until March. During this 6 week extravaganza, Long Island comes alive and in full swing with over 70 live jazz performances, featuring many Grammy-nominated artists. Dozens of cultural attractions and special offers on hotel and B&B getaway packages, restaurants and winery tours will be available.
