Third Thursdays Series at Brecknock Hall, Presented by East End Arts

June 21: “Scenes Seen from the Theatre Scene”

Featuring Five Notable East End Theatre Companies

(RIVERHEAD, NY, June 7, 2012) – East End Arts is pleased to announce June’s installment of the Third Thursdays Arts-in-Community Series at Brecknock Hall, located at One Brecknock Road, Greenport, to be held on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 PM. East End Arts will host five notable East End theatre companies, including the Green Theatre Collective, Hamptons Independent Theatre Festival, Neo-Political Cowgirls, Northeast Stage, and Round Table Theatre Company & Academy in an evening entitled “Scenes Seen from the Theatre Scene”, where a variety of lively and entertaining theatrical performances and presentations will be featured. This FREE event is open to the public.

Hamptons Independent Theatre Festival (HITfest) is a working collective of performing artists dedicated to the development of theatre on the East End of Long Island, believing in the possibilities generated by the collaboration of talented and devoted people. For more information, visit their website: www.hitfest.org.

The Neo-Political Cowgirls were founded in 2009 by Kate Mueth to fill the dearth of women's voices on the stage, and creates and presents work for, by and about women in the genre of dance theater, across the East End. For more information, visit their website: www.neopoliticalcowgirls.com.

Northeast Stage continues the tradition of free summer outdoor performances of Shakespeare in Greenport’s Mitchell Park and expands its reach to include classics as well as other creative theater projects in different venues. For more information, visit their website: www.northeaststage.org.

Round Table Theatre Company & Academy will be a year-round company that employs local and out-of-town professional actors and experts to teach, mentor, and engage the entire community, with the goal of eventually having a world-class professional destination theatre in the Hamptons. The East End Arts School is very pleased to present this series of Arts-in-Community forums and presentations on the third Thursday of every month, at the magnificent and historic Brecknock Hall in Greenport (One Brecknock Road).
