We recently hired a pet-sitter here to take care of our pooch for a few days. We were extremely nervous about it. It was our first little vacation since we purchased him, and we had never been away from him for any longer than a workday. We hate even having to leave him for that long! We'd heard so many bad stories about awful pet sitters from friends, and nobody had any recommendations.
The guy who came by from the site was really great! We were surprised. We touched base with him every day and he told us about what was going on, and when we came home, it was to a happy dog wagging his tail. We were so relieved and happy to see that he was all right. Our sitter did a wonderful job, and we will use him again the next time.

We had a great experience with a pet sitter we hired through this site. She was incredibly friendly and excellent with our dog, and we were impressed by her expertise. We felt totally safe and comfortable having her do the job. We'll hire her again in the future when we need her.

My partner and I were going on vacation for three weeks and we knew we wouldn't be able to go if we couldn't find someone to stay home with our dog. We didn't want to put him in a kennel. He's been with me for ten years and I never once put him in a kennel! We used the petsitting.com site to search for local pet sitters and got in contact with a great guy named Matthew who does this for extra money. He was friendly, professional, and stopped by to see us and meet our doggie, who took to him immediately. His fees were reasonable, and he was able to stay the whole three weeks. We called him once a day and he was always immediately available with updates.
When we came home, our doggie was happy to see us but clearly had been well cared for. We'll be calling Matthew again the next time we need a pet-sitter. It was a very helpful website.
