We just moved to Long Island from Connecticut. Shopping for furniture was not an exciting prospect to me, but we'd sold most of our old stuff to make it easier to move. Plus our new house is smaller, and we never could have fit it all in. That gave us more of a budget to use on the furniture we could fit in though, and we ended up buying most of it at Northshore Furniture. They have some lovely bedroom sets and kitchen sets with some LI accents. It did help us to get into the atmosphere of the island and feel more at home here.
