An excellent event venue. They give you nothing but the best personal attention right from the planning stages through to the end, and we really appreciated the intimate setting. This is where we hosted my husband's retirement party. Twenty years in the Air Force. It was amazing to see it come to an end. At first we thought we'd just do a quiet little dinner somewhere nice, but then I realized just how many friends we had made and how many of them were still based here with us. So I thought, "Okay, we'll go all out."

I had no idea where to host the party, but one of his friends came up with the New Hyde Park Inn. I guess they do a lot of wedding celebrations here, and this is where he and his wife had theirs a couple years back. They were very fond of the place, so I took their word for it and booked the date.

What's nice about the Inn at New Hyde Park is this. They only host one event at a time. So you don't have to deal with noise from other parties, and you aren't constantly wading through other peoples' celebrations to get to your own. It feels very private. And despite being located in a really busy district of town, once you get inside, you have that feeling of seclusion and exclusiveness. It's wonderful.

The food here is outstanding. I can see why sometimes people come here just for lunch or dinner, without a major event. It's a very elegant venue, so make sure you celebrate here sometime with the special people in your life who can appreciate it. The Inn made my husband's retirement very memorable. Share Your Review
