I had a great relationship with my girlfriend until we tied the knot. After that it seemed like it all went to pieces. It was a gradual decline, but it really bothered me to realize that the intimacy had gone out of our relationship and we were just like all those staid, stale couples that always used to scare me so much. Finally things got so bad that I thought we should try counseling instead of separating, which would have been the next step. We went to see Melissa about our problems, and I can honestly say that move saved my marriage. In fact, I really wish I'd known about premarital counseling, which is another service that she offers, where you go in and talk about the relationship you hope to have now and in the future before you get married. I think a lot of couples could benefit from that. It's very easy to lose sight of where you wanted to be with your relationship and your life after you get married, because you become complacent, thinking now you have everything you want.
