OMG, there really is no experience quite like this!!!!!! Wow. I just got back ... it was my first skydive ever ... I had to be pushed into it by my friends, who bought me the ticket and went with me for my birthday. I didn't think I could do it, especially when it was time to jump. But IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT OMG YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL LONG ISLAND IS FROM ABOVE. Everyone in the world should do this at least once in their lives! Seriously!!! On my birthday, I went skydiving and bought classes and skydiving trips for three of my friends too. None of us had ever done it before, and they were thrilled when I told them (and a couple of them were more than a little nervous). The instructors were very clear about everything, and the classes boosted our confidence levels. Nothing can really prepare you for the experience of jumping out of a plane in mid-air though, or seeing the beautiful vista of Long Island spread out below. It's an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and amazing way to see the land and the sea. If you've never skydived before, then check out Long Island Skydiving Center.
