I have never been happier with a restaurant. I liked it the first few times I went, and then I realized I was loving it more and more every time. I have tried so many good dishes here, and every week I want to try something new. The waiters are really friendly and know me. What a delightful little Italian restaurant! I haven't found a good Italian place in years, and it's been one of the joys of moving to Long Island to find so many delicious options. So far La Viola is my favourite of all of them. The restaurant itself is so inviting and warm, and the people who work here are the same way. They always recognize my husband and I the moment we walk in the door, and they tend to anticipate our orders. It's tough not getting the same thing over and over here, simply because we love our favorite dishes so much. Nonetheless, it's a big menu and there is a lot that we are looking forward to trying. I literally dream about the seafood at La Viola Ristoranti. In particular they do fried calamari really well. There's a reason everyone seems to mention it in their reviews. I used to think I disliked calamari till I had it here, where it's nice and tender and not all chewy. It's perfectly fried too--nice and crispy without being so greasy that it gives me problems later. The baked clams and the salmon are other highlights for me. This is a delicious restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and has a very charming ambiance to it. The food is of course the main reason I love coming in here. The fried calamari can be the highlight of my week. You also can't go wrong with the veal, it is oh so tender. And seafood! You can't miss out on LI seafood, especially when it's covered in delicious Italian marinara sauce. Share Your Review
