My child needed algebra help in a hurry. I did not know his grades were so low until, well, a week before his final. His teacher told him that if he managed to pass his exam with a C or higher, she'd give him a D in the class and let him go on. Otherwise it was going to be summer school time.

Normally I would prefer to look for an independent tutor, but given the time frame, I enrolled him at Huntington. I'm pleased to say he did pass the exam and get a D in the class, but only barely. The C on the exam was barely a C. I don't blame the tutors for not getting him to an A or a B; I'm frankly amazed they managed to help him to pass at all. So it was a job well done.

I still prefer the more personal service you get when you hire an independent tutor though; that's just my personal opinion. So while Huntington did a good job, I will be looking for an independent Long Island tutor who can help my son all through his next year of math classes. Share Your Review
