After Sandy, we had these guys come in and check our house out, because we'd had some leaks during the storm. We were worried that next year (this year) they'd get worse. They're sealed now, so we can look toward the winter without worrying so much.

Our house is located at the bottom of a hill in just such a spot that runoff is a bit of a problem when it rains really hard. We used to have a leak in our basement as a result. Harbor Basement Waterproofing does exactly what you'd guess from their name--they waterproof basements with leak issues like ours. They fixed the sealing on our basement door and also our windows, and filled in several cracks in our walls. It's a relief not to have to constantly be pulling the rugs out of the basement to hang them up to dry outside! Nice not to have to worry about mildew and mold anymore.
