Thomas School of Horsemanship Day Camp Reviews

My two older kids attended this camp and loved every minute of it. They have never actually stopped talking about it. Now my youngest is ready to go, and she is so excited, as am I! I can't wait to hear about her first day. They have been wonderful, and such a big part of our lives that sometimes the school seems like an extended home and family.

As an equine lover, I’ve loved the training and riding sessions at the Thomas School of Horsemanship! I can now ride swiftly and so can my brother. We race together and actually contemplate having a ranch and doing rodeo! Hah! That is how much we love our equine time at the Thomas School.

I am a father from Melville and i have two young daughters. I was always very fond of riding horses because i really love these nice and sensitive animals. They are exactly as people are. When i was younger, i used to ride the black horse of my grandfather. My kids have never ridden a hose before and the were asking from me to find an ideal place for them for riding horses. My boss who is also my best friend, said to me to visit Thomas Scool of Horsemanship. Well, the place was extremely enormous and you could see or even ride every king of horses there. Since my daughters asked from me to ride a horse, i coulg not refuse it. All i have to say is that we all engoyed riding black, brown and white horses, as they were very cute and friendly. We had fun. As for the prices we paid 100 dollars for two whole hours and we will definitely visit them again. I recommend this place to everyone who loves horses.

My daughter loves her time that is spent at Thomas School Of Horsemanship. She really seems to bond with the horses, and seems some of her happiest times are spent with them. She rides twice a week, but would ride everyday if we let her. She is learning new skills each time she goes, and she is hoping that she can do some jumping in shows maybe by next year.

This Day Camp was a fun project for my daughter and I, as horses are something that we both love. The trainers there were really awesome and made it fun to learn to ride horses.

My son has autism and while he doesn't always communicate well with people, he does have a connection to animals. He rides once or sometimes twice a week, and it seems as if the horses are having a positive effect on him. He really looks forward to his riding sessions, and we are considering leasing a horse so he can ride more often.

My son goes to summer camp here. He loves horses, and one day I think he may even ride competitively. All year he looks forward to summer so he can go to camp and be with the horses. The instructors have a lot of experience and they seem to love what they do. My son has not only learned how to ride, but also how to take care of horses - all the grooming and feeding and that other good stuff. I hope one day he gets to own a horse of his own. I think he'd probably be able to take care of one already with all that he's learned.

HeyJess- I already got back to you by email, but for the beiefnt of everyone else ..We just had a wonderful Potluck and farm tour at one of our produce farms, Brothers Farm, in October, which Jessie and her family attended! It was an amazing time, with 45 folks and the most wonderful variety of local dishes! We organize farm tours/potlucks periodically at our farms at Spring Run, so be looking here at the website after Christmas for another in the early spring! Jessie, so sorry that your family will not be here for the next event, but we loved you all being here for the short time you were you have a beautiful family, God bless!!!

My daughter started at camp 8 years ago and never left. We love it so much that now I've started taking lessons. Camp is the highlight of my daughter's year - she would rather go to camp than away on vacation.

My daughter has been with Thomas's for over 6 years. She has gone to their summer camp as well as year long riding lessons. The lessons have taken her from the basics to more advanced jumping courses. The one thing I always found to be a plus at Thomas's is that the students get lots of hand on experience with the horse. Other barns I have gone to basically walk the horse out to you and take it back at the end of the lesson. At Thomas's you are taught to tack and groom your own horse and will eventually walk in get your horse assignment and you are responsible for the care before and after the lesson.

Thomas School Day camp is so fantastic. All my children (my daughter and two sons) attended this day camp for many years. They loved that they swam two times a day, got to do so many sports, and then got to ride horses on top of that. It was perfect for them.. I highly recommend this camp and riding school for everybody!
