Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP Welcomes Joel I. Reisman as Its Director

Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz LLP has announced that Joel I. Reisman, CPA, has joined the firm as its Director. He will be responsible for quality control and heading up the firm’s accounting and auditing department, where he will provide leadership and training in all aspects of accounting, auditing and client-related service issues to the firm’s staff.

Mr. Reisman has been in the field of accounting for over 25 years. He specializes in providing accounting, auditing, tax and advisory services to closely held businesses and entrepreneurial companies and has expertise in performing audits of employee benefit plans and financial audits for owners of low-income multi-family housing to help them comply with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development guidelines. He is also experienced with cost segregation, high net worth individuals and providing clients with generational tax strategies to pass wealth from one generation to the next.

Prior to joining Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP, Mr. Reisman was a Director at Wiss & Company and a Principal at Freeman & Davis LLP. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brooklyn College and was licensed as a CPA in 1983. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
